These four phrases can form a really pleasant mantra meditation. You can either keep your eyes open, or close them, the choice is yours. Then breathing gently, just recite the phrases as a mantra, over and over again. This can be done silently within your mind, or by chanting them aloud. Do as you feel is right.
As you go about doing this just allow your mind free flow. Keep repeating the Ho'o Pono Pono mantra over and over again, and see where it takes you. Often whilst doing this different people or things will come into your mind, if your mind dwells on anything or anyone, then the likelihood is that they require attention in the form of focus. When this happens just hold your attention there, keep repeating the phrases over and over, cleansing and clearing as you do so.
When whatever needed cleaning has been cleaned to the extent that was needed, it will go from your mind and you will flow on to something else. The principle things here are to focus on repeating the mantra over and over and allowing your mind free flow. The things that need cleaning will come to mind, your unconscious will quickly come to understand what is happening and what you are doing, and as a result how it can help most. How Long Should You Do This For
The length of time you do this is totally up to you. If you only have 5 minutes then do it for 5 minutes. If you want to take 1 hour, or 2 hours, or more, then feel free to.
